あちこちで飛行機が墜落したり撃墜されたり、サイバー攻撃を受けたりする、物情騒然たる2024年の歳の瀬。
羽田空港ロビーで時間待ちしながら外を眺めていても、心は穏やかではなかった。
24日には日航がサイバー攻撃を受けてシステムが大混乱。かと思えば25日アゼルバイジャンで旅客機が墜落したことを巡って、ロシア軍の誤射という報道。まだロシア政府は公式に認めていない。悪いことは続くもので29日、タイ・バンコクから韓国への帰国便が墜落、国内最大の惨事だという。
「三界は安きこと無し。なを火宅のごとし」
という法華経譬喩品の一節を想起しながら、静かにご冥福を祈る。
It’s the end of the year and it’s a tumultuous time with planes crashing and being shot down all over the place, and cyber attacks.
Looking out the window at Haneda Airport, my heart was not at peace.
Recalling a passage from the Lotus Sutra’s Parable Chapter, “There is no peace in the three realms. It is like a burning house,”
I quietly pray for the repose of those who have passed away.
